During the event at Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, organized by the EFCC, Tinubu acknowledged the importance of multi-dimensional stakeholder involvement in combating economic and financial crimes. Senior Special Assistant Stanley Nkwocha detailed the President's discourse in a statement, highlighting Tinubu's call for trust and integrity in eradicating internet offenses.
President Tinubu debunked the stereotype associating Nigerians with internet crimes, stressing the nation's contributions to various global fields. He urged law enforcement to align actions with justice and accountability, emphasizing the necessity of fostering open communication channels.
Recognizing the interconnected world where cybercrimes have become a global phenomenon, Tinubu applauded the EFCC for being a moral compass in persistently addressing corruption. He encouraged Nigerian youths to explore lawful opportunities, announcing the establishment of a Students Loan Board to address financial needs and deter criminality.
President Tinubu lauded the EFCC's Inter-Faith and Fraud Risk Assessment Projects, acknowledging religion's potential for ethical reformation.
