World Bank Staff Crushed To Death By Angry Husband

A man has reportedly crushed his wife to death over a minor domestic issue in Gwagwalada area of Abuja.

 

 The suspect whose name was given as, Makanjuola Ayedun from Isnaliu community Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi state was said to have killed her, after knocking her down with a car.

 

 

It was also gathered that Ayedun wanted to run away, claiming it was brake failure when he realized he killed his wife.

 

A source however said that it was not an accident. According to the source who is close to the family, the man had always physically assaulted the wife.

 

It was gathered that trouble started when the deceased, Nike Ayedun a staff of World bank in Asokoro Abuja confronted her husband over a safe box, she got for the purpose of saving money for her son who demanded a huge birthday party.

 

 Makanjuola was said to have broken it and taken the money in it.

 

Possibly irked by the confrontation, the husband according to a source was said to have beaten her to a pulp and seized her phone so that she would not call anyone.

 

The source further revealed that the man went outside and turned on his car engine and while he came down to open the gate, Nike ran to the gate demanding her phone.

 

The husband threatened to crush and kill her, to their chagrin, he ran over her with full force killing her in the process while reversing the car, the source stated.
